We have had to cancel the remaining Youth Lagoon shows in Europe. A statement from Trevor Powers:
“I am so sorry to announce the upcoming shows in Oslo, Emmboda, Brighton & Secret Garden Party will have to be cancelled. I recently lost one of my closest friends and I need to be home with family and friends to celebrate his life. I apologize to all who had purchased tickets, and I'll see you all again soon. I love you all.”
Youth Lagoon will be back in Europe in November for Pitchfork Parismore
Yuck are very excited to unveil the first brand new track from their forthcoming LP.
Gorgeous and chiming, burnished and glowing, "Rebirth" unfurls slowly yet majestically, giving up its charms gradually. Anchored by lead singer Max Bloom's beautifully assured vocals, it is at once intrinsically Yuck while at the same time hinting at the start of an exciting new chapter for the band.
The much anticipated second album will arrive later this year. Produced by Chris Coady (Beach House, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV On the Radio).more
Fat Possum Records will release Back to Forever, the new studio album from Lissie, on September 10. Produced by Garret "Jacknife" Lee (R.E.M., Snow Patrol, Silversun Pickups), the 12-song collection is every bit as frank as 2010's Catching A Tiger, but reflects an objectivity and depth that come only with the benefit of hindsight, after healing from the hard knocks endured at love's hands. In short, the Quad City native has grown into the Mezcal-and-cigarettes voice that was so riveting on her debut album, which has sold more than 250,000 copies worldwide, been certified Gold in the UK and Norway and brought her a host of accolades, with Paste Magazine naming her Best New Solo Artist, VH1 tapping her as a "You Oughta Know" artist and a Q Awards nomination for Best Breakthrough Artist.
Lissie will be previewing songs from Back to Forever on her upcoming tour, which kicks off this Saturday, June 15, in Norway and includes performances at the Bumbershoot Festival and Austin City Limits Festival in the U.S. She will also play the second stage of London's Hard Rock Calling right before Bruce Springsteen's main stage set on June 30.more

Meet James Baghaw (vocals, guitar), Tom Warmsley (bass, backing vocal), Sam Toms (drums) and Adam Smith (keys), the four-piece comprising Kettering, England’s newest (and only?) psychedelic pop band, Temples. After a UK release of their debut 7”, recorded in their own Pyramid Studios, Temples quickly received loads of attention, packing out rooms all over their home country, garnering praise from the likes of Johnny Marr and Robert Wyatt, and being featured in publications, including the NME (“one of the brightest new lights of the current psych scene”), MOJO (“Rising”), Drowned in Sound, and The Guardian. Now, with summer upon us, it’s the perfect time for US audiences to be introduced to this production-obsessed, neo-psych band’s 60s inspired hits. Come July 23rd, Temples will release their debut US single, the “Shelter Song”/”Colours to Life” 7”, via Fat Possum. Additionally, they’ll play their debut shows in North America this fall.
