Watch Adam Torres Cover The Drifters via The A.V. Club

October 31, 2016

“For our special Day Of The Dead edition of Undercover, we’re asking bands to cover songs by artists who have passed away. Adam Torres came to the office this week and gave us an appropriately ghost-like rendition of “This Magic Moment,” first recorded by The Drifters (with Ben E. King, who died last year). Torres’ haunting voice, backed by Aisha Burns on violin and the inimitable Thor Harris on percussion, amplifies and isolates the sadness in the 1960 hit. Torres’ recent album, Pearls To Swine, is his first in a decade, and is out now on Fat Possum Records.” – The A.V. Club
